Is it possible to make money in MLM?

Have you ever wondered, is MLM a viable business? For many, the answer is, NO. Are you driven? Do you complete tasks? Are you reliable when it comes to meeting at appointments? If your answers are no, then you don't need to bother yourself with multi-level-marketing. It can be complicated, frustrating and slow-paced.

MLM is for folks that like slow chess games, fishing by placid lakes and watching birds. It is based on faith in numbers, just like watching the bob fishing is based on the knowledge that a fish WILL eventually bite. Statistics don't lie. Talk with 1000's of people, you will succeed. But are you personally ready to do it? Are you ready to go out and generate new faces to talk to?

The problem with MLM is that it markets a model that demands focused, driven individuals to succeed. Yet, it does not make that clear when presenting itself. Many folks start with absurd dreams of massive, fast cash. There is no explanation of pipeline sales, permission marketing etc. The new "business" partner has no idea of what actually making money in MLM entails. They assume, wrongly, that there is no work involved.

MLM is like all sales: the only difference is that the point of sale is self-replicating. In some, the product can be so valuable, that enrolling others is almost superflous. In others, money and enrolling is the only benefit. Some are a nice mix of both. But, no matter how valuable the product (even a free product) is, without effort, an MLM business will not succeed.

In a real way, most MLM is a scam, because this is not made clear. 2 hours a day is necessary, not "recommended." Anyone who tells you early on that the expansion of MLM is easy is lying to you. You will put in 3000 hours, or about 3.5 years, before you are seeing a major return on your investment by the numbers, and if you are lucky, you will still spend 1.5 years before you get there. "Getting there" means you are making more then you need to work at ANOTHER job that you don't like.

Here's a company that costs almost nothing to start, returns it's value immediately in free stuff, and pays out well.

But really, bottom line: without some sort of vision of the future and moxy to accomplish it, don't even bother.
